Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 2 Remaster Releases This Summer

The remaster of the most-loved Dungeon and Dragons video game Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 is coming soon. 

This is likely to be inevitable following the previous re-releases of the first Dark Alliance. Although no exact date was set, Dark Alliance 2 is scheduled to release this summer.

Dark Alliance 2 will be available across all gaming platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. It's also confirmed to work with Steam Deck.

This remaster allows local co-op but does not support online multiplayer. However, if you buy the Steam copy and you want to play Remote Play, you can do so. Remote Play to play with your online companion.

The game can be wished-listed via Steam and GOG today; store pages for consoles, as well as The Epic Games Store will be in the near future.

Dark Alliance Dark Alliance games are action-focused sequels to the more complex Baldur's Gate computer-based role-playing games. Dark Alliance 2, like its predecessor, draws inspiration from Diablo.

The game requires players to level up to playable characters, making and enhancing their gear and equipment, as well as combating dragons and ghouls in different difficulty levels.

If you're looking for a more novel, text-heavy style that is typical of those games that are the primaryline, then it will not be available here.

This is not negative, especially when you're looking for nostalgia-inducing hack-and-slash action. 

Sometimes, you'd like to cut up a goblin, or shoot a magical missiles at a troll but without the giddy narrative implication or a slow-moving interface.
