Elon Musk warns of dropping Twitter deal if the data is not given

Elon Musk has warned that he could quit his $44 billion deal buy Twitter Inc if the social media company fails to supply details on fake and spam accounts. 

Musk, a billionaire stated in a letter sent to Twitter on Monday. The letter stated that Twitter was in "clear material breach" of its obligations. 

It also stated it also said that Musk retains the right to end this merger deal. 

Elon Musk wIn the month of March Musk declared that he will put the agreement "temporarily put on hold".

"Musk believes that Twitter is openly refusing follow its obligations in the merger agreement. 

This raises suspicions that the company has a reason to withhold the requested information due to concerns about what Musk's study of the data might reveal," according to the letter. 

"Musk believes the company is actively resisting and thwarting his information rights," the letter sent by Musk's lawyers read.

Twitter shares fell 5.5 percent to $37.95 in the morning trading.
